My favourite subject has to be Media Studies or English Literature.

America for sure! Everything looks so nice and relaxed out there.

Favourite pizza topping?
Peperoni, I can just eat it out of the packet...it tastes so good!

The Best Music Video Ever

Ever since Ed Sheeran's new album 'X' came out in June, it has been one of the many things I have had on repeat. Yesterday Ed's new single 'Thinking Out Loud' had it's music video premiere on YouTube. It's safe to say this is my favourite music video. Ever. Seeing Ed dance so well literally made me speechless, not forgetting how incredible Brittany Cherry is in it as well. Eeeeek it's just so perfect!

August Favourites

I'm starting a monthly favourites post which shall be posted each month with things that I have been loving from the previous month.

Pretty Little Liars
Almost at the end of another season, Pretty Little Liars never fails to have me hooked. The cast are truly brilliant and the storylines are just so gripping. Every episode the finger is pointed at a different person to be the mysterious A but with another two seasons on the way it looks like we will have to wait a bit longer for Ali's killer to be revealed.

Shawn MendesThe young singer started out uploading videos of covers onto YoutTube and his success blew up online. At only 16 years old, he has released his own EP which consists of 5 4 songs. I highly recommend listening to 'Show You' and 'One Of Those Nights'.

Notebooks

We are at that time of the month where its close to going back to school and everyone goes stationary crazy! My stationary weakness (as geeky as that may sound) has to be notebooks. I love filling them with school work, doodles and notes. I have four waiting for me ready to go back to school!

JumpersAutumn is slowly approaching which means jumpers! I love autumn/winter clothing so much, everything in shops all of a sudden becomes a lot nicer and a lot more comfy. I recently purchased a baby pink knitted jumper from H&M for £14.99 and it is safe to say I am totally in love with it.

Dry Shampoo
It is a god send! I have spent a lot of time this summer camping and staying at friends houses so when I need to wash my hair, spraying a bit of dry shampoo in it not only makes it look better but also gives it a lot of volume. I recommended trying the Batiste Dry Shampoo.

Zoella's Beauty Range
One of my favourite YouTubers Zoe Sugg is releasing a beauty range witch I am ridiculously excited about! It is due to be released this month and she has already been uploading speak speaks of what the packaging looks like and it is adorable!

Sleek Eye Shadow Palette | Oh So Special

When watching one of Zoella's Youtube videos last summer, I heard her talk of make-up brand Sleek. I decided to go online and check the company out and I discovered they had their own section in Superdrug so for Christmas I asked for a Sleek palette. I am not usually one for eye shadow as previously I only wore eye liner and mascara on my eyes but since I have had the palette I have breached out of my comfort zone and tried many new techniques and styles.

The palette which I got was called 'Oh So Special' and is made up of 12 different colours, 7 matte and 5 shimmer. On the left had side of the palette are 6 nude pinky colours, two of which are a shimmer. My favourite of these colours has to be the the first two in the top row which are called 'Bow' which happens to be a white matte which is perfect for light blending and 'Organza' which is a light pink shimmer. My least favourite has to 'The Mail' which is in the bottom right hand corner. I found the shadow looked like I had not rubbed my foundation in properly as it is a very similar skin tone shade. These shades are very summery and pretty colours.

The right side of the palette consists of much darker shades. Like the pink side of the palette, it also consists of shimmers and mattes. My favourite shades are on the bottom row in the left corner and they are 'Boxed' which I cover my whole eye lid with and 'Wrapped Up' which I use to blend in my crease. I wear this look on and every day basis. I also use the shimmer 'Gift Basket' a lot when I go out to parties or special events. I am really looking forward to using the 'Celebrate' shimmer as it is a lovely dark purple and out of my comfort zone.

Spot Break Out?

Getting spots is something that annoys us all, specially when we have an important event and a giant one appears in the middle of your forehead! But what if I said there are certain ways you can help your skin minimise the appearance of spots? Take a look at these everyday things which can cause those spots.

Make Up Brushes
Make Up Brushes are a key factor to most people's spots. If they are not washed regularly, the bacteria from you skin each time you apply your make up will gradually build up on the brush. The more you then smear it over your face, the more bacteria build up you are producing. I recommend washing your make up brushes at least once every week or two weeks max with baby shampoo.

Pillow Cases
These also clog up with bacteria and oils from your hair and skin as well as house dirt so it is best to make sure your pillow case is changed every week as this will help prevent the dirt getting into your pores.
Dehydration
When skin is not moisturised and hydrated it finds it much easier to break out. This all can cause oil in your pores so it is recommended by skin care specialists to use oil-free moisturisers ans make sure you drink a lot of water through the day to keep your skin hydrated.

Sun Tanning
The sweat produced when tanning causes it to clog up your pores and this is what creates the break outs. Also once pealing, the dead skin also clogs them up so apply lots of after sun to ensure this does not happen.

Mobile Phones
It sounds ridiculous but in fact it is very true! The bacteria from other things you have touched gets spread to your mobile phone screen which then touches your face. You can prevent this by wiping your phone screen a couple of times a week to eliminate any bacteria build up there may be.

Trip To London

As my family had no holiday planned for this year we decided to get away and have a little break in London instead. We arrived on the Sunday which was my parents wedding anniversary so they treated the family to a meal out in one of our favourite restaurants in China Town before heading back to the hotel we had booked for a few nights.

On the Monday we visited the Science, History and Victoria and Albert museums which were interesting but very tiring. After this we headed over to Victoria and had a meal in Wetherspoons before heading to the Apollo Theatre to see my favourite show Wicked. This was the second time I had see it and it just reminded me as to why it is so brilliant. Defying Gravity was performed amazingly and I smiled and sung along through the whole performance. I highly recommend going to watch it as it is truly amazing!

Today we quickly visited Oxford Street to check out what was in a few stores before heading along the River Thames to see Tower Bridge and The Tower Of London. It was a lovely few days away and made a change from sitting back at home!
